Acupuncture for Mental Health

Acupuncture is a mind-body intervention. Mental health issues like anxiety, PTSD, and depression are experienced both emotionally and physically. Since it is a holistic medicine, acupuncture can target physical symptoms such as a tight chest, poor digestion, or a lack of mental focus, while simultaneously treating the emotional symptoms of anxiety or depression. This integrated approach is incredibly powerful and why acupuncture should play a vital role in the treatment of mental health conditions.

Despite overwhelming evidence of a mind-body connection, many people remain unaware that their chronic pain has a direct impact on their mental health. In recent research, acupuncture has been proven to treat psychological disorders, specifically those related to pain.
